Our Team of Brisbane Youth Drama Facilitators

The Play on Stage team is comprised of experienced artists and educators who are passionate about guiding the next generation of Brisbane performers. Each team member brings the skills and knowledge to effectively facilitate our programs, ensuring that our participants have access to expert artistic education and support.

Our friendly team genuinely cares about creating an accessible and welcoming environment for our child and teen participants to thrive in their creativity. We cover a range of disciplines within the Brisbane arts scene, ensuring our programs can cover several mediums including performing on stage and screen, directing, playwrighting, dance, musical theatre and more.

  • VIrag Dombay

    FOUNDER AND ARTIST DIRECTOR

    Having graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Drama) with Distinctions in 2019 and with a Masters of Education (2021), Virag’s roles in arts in education have included being the Director of Room to Play Kids (2022-April 2025), the Youth Performing Arts Workshops Coordinator for Brisbane Arts Theatre (2018-2021), as well as being a teaching artist for theatre companies such as Queensland Theatre and Grin and Tonic. She is also a drama and dance specialist teacher for Oakleigh State School and Rainworth State School and is a tutor for QUT’s Creative Industries precinct.

    Virag has performed original works with young people in venues including the Brisbane Powerhouse, Metro Arts, Arcana and PIP Theatre. I’ve toured works with young people across South-East Queensland with the support of Brisbane City Council and frequently activate council spaces with youth voices.

    Her publications outside of Play on Stage, include ‘Dear Adults…’ (Playlab Theatre, 2023) which she co-wrote with Harry Fritsch and ‘Seasons of Love: A Collection of Short Stories’ (InHouse Publishing, 2021) which was a Finalist in the Next Generation Indie and Independent Publishing Awards in America.

  • Harry Fritsch

    WRITER

    Harry is a creative and professional writer who has applied his craft across a variety of literary mediums and genres. Having fostered a love of the written word from a young age, Harry graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Creative and Professional Writing) in 2018. Harry has cowritten the youth plays Dear Adults… and Act Your Age, both of which he cowrote with Virag Dombay and the former of which has been published by Playlab Theatre. He was also the playwright for The Playground in the Sky.

    His short stories have been published in the drabble anthology Sideshow Alley, the steampunk short story anthology Age of Artifice from Dragon Soul Press, the Queensland Writers Centre RightLeftWrite competition for July 2022, Flash Fiction Magazine, and two issues of Netherworld’s Denizen Digest. He was the editor for the short story collection Seasons of Love by Virag Dombay in 2021 and has contributed to various entertainment media websites over the years, including TheGamer, WellPlayed, The Creative Issue, and Goomba Stomp, and Substack.

    On top of this, he also works a professional SEO copywriter in the digital marketing space. Harry’s work for Play on Stage includes playwrighting and helping craft the copy for the company’s digital assets.

  • Bethany Moore

    SOCIALS AND CONTENT COORDINATOR

    Beth graduated from a 'Fine Arts: Film, Screen and New Media' Bachelors degree from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2022 and has since honed her craft and love for education through award recognised short films and music videos as well as working in tutoring and teaching positions. Bethany’s roles in the arts include Photographer, Film Director, Social Media Manager and Theatre Educator.
